TACTICAL HANDGUN – February 15th, 2025, from 12-4 PM at the Mt. Joy Sportsmen’s Association (Indoor Range)

This course is specifically designed for individuals who have some experience with shooting and reloading who are looking to develop their firearm shooting skills. Training is provided by highly skilled and certified firearms instructors, who will cover a variety of tactical objectives such as shooting from behind cover, engaging multiple targets, as well as courses of fire involving movement in a controlled and individualized setting. Class size is limited to ensure that each student receives personalized instruction in a controlled and safe environment.

100 rounds of ammunition/2 magazines recommended.

BASIC HANDGUN SAFETY AND SHOOTING – March 8th, 2025 from 12-4 PM at the Mt. Joy Sportsmen’s Association (Indoor Range).

This course is specifically designed for new handgun owners or beginners, looking to develop their firearm safety and shooting skills. Training is provided by highly skilled and certified firearms instructors, who will cover a variety of objectives in a controlled classroom setting. Once comfortable with the safety and operation of their firearm, students will then transition into a practical application on the range where shooting lessons will be applied in a safe and controlled environment.

50 rounds of ammunition required. ($100 per person-18 years and older)

DEFENSIVE RIFLE – LEVEL 2 – April 5th, 2025, from 12-4 PM at the Mt. Joy Sportsmen’s Association.

This course is specifically designed for individuals who have some experience with shooting a carbine rifle. Training is provided by highly skilled and certified firearms instructors, who will cover a variety of objectives to include multiple target engagement, clearing jams/malfunctions, reloading while shooting, and defensive mental exercises to help build confidence and a solid foundation for accurate shot placement. Class size is limited to ensure that each student receives personalized instruction in a controlled and safe environment.

Brief classroom safety instruction followed by range practical application.

100 rounds of ammunition/2 magazines recommended.

18 years of age and older only – $125 per person

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN– May 3, 2025, from 10-2 PM at the Mount Joy Sportsmen’s Association.

This course is specifically designed to introduce new or intermediate shooters to the fundamentals and mindset required for those who choose to utilize their handgun for defensive purposes. Not recommended for those who have no experience with shooting a handgun. Training is provided by highly skilled and certified firearms instructors, who will cover a variety of objectives to include multiple target engagement, clearing jams/malfunctions, reloading while shooting, and defensive mental exercises to help build confidence and a solid foundation for accurate shot placement. Class size is limited to ensure that each student receives personalized instruction in a controlled and safe environment.
